Character's background (their past and present):
A former student of Luke Skywalker, Ben Solo was seduced by Supreme Leader Snoke and dark side of the force. Adopting the name Kylo Ren, he proceeded to slaughter all of Luke’s other students before taking his place as figurehead of the First Order. His ties to the dark side, however, are not as strong as he would like. He has just suffered a tremendous defeat at the hands of a force-sensitive girl, while reeling from the reality of killing his own father.
Character's personality:
In a nutshell, unstable. His mind is a battlefield between darkness and light, and I suspect he is haunted, at least on some level, by atrocities he’s committed. He is obsessed with honoring his Grandfather’s legacy, however, and strives to surround himself in the darkness to make himself stronger. He is impulsive, quick to anger, prone to destructive rages and can be downright childish at times.
Character's skills/abilities/powers:
His greatest force talent is telekinesis, and he uses it to control others’ movements and even rip through their thoughts to get what he wants. He can sense the force around him, offering vague premonitions at best. He can channel anger and pain to fuel his power, and is trained in combat. Aside from Jedi skills, he’s skilled enough mechanically to build his own (equally unstable) lightsaber, and likely picked up other tools of the trade from childhood.
Any special equipment your character is bringing along? This includes weaponry, magic items, etc.:
his lightsaber, even though it’s now broken. If possible, could Q make the burned Vader helmet magically appear in his quarters?

Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them?
Insert chaos into an otherwise orderly universe, and perhaps, over time, give some much-needed order to his mind’s chaos. A displaced villain can be such an exciting twist and Kylo Ren has so much room to grow – light or dark. I am open to the idea of having his force powers reduced or blocked, though that would merely make him less dangerous, not less volatile. I promise not to destroy anything vital to the ship’s functions or control any characters without full pre-negotiated permissions, and I fully expect him to spend more time locked in the brig than in his own quarters. As a player, I am interested in aping a more well-known character (my other is an OC) to engage with more people.
